- Wow! So sweet!
- But not in a saccharine way!
- I love the part where Jenna (Keri R) and Dr Pomatter (Nathan F) make the appointment to meet and then he leaves and she just has that WTF?! look on her face and Cake’s ‘Short Skirt Long Jacket’ starts playing and she still has that look on her face and then it turns into a happy smile and then she just keeps smiling and then it turns into the sex montage. So sweet!
- When she held the baby for the first time, my first instinct was to be really cynical and like, come on, she hated the baby the whole time and now she likes it and it changes everything? But then I was like, fuck it, that’s so sweet!
- I thought Jeremy Sisto’s character was really interesting because you’re supposed to hate the scumbag, moneygrubbing husband and think he’s an asshole but really I just ended up thinking he was really, really pitiful, and I don’t know how I feel about that
- I just read that the director (/actress—she also played Dawn, the nerdy waitress) was found hanging dead in her bathtub and it was her downstairs neighbor that killed her and made it look like a suicide because she complained about noise and it was her husband that found her body and she had a young daughter who was also plays Keri R’s daughter at the end of the movie … THAT IS DEPRESSING
- The movie is still sweet though (or should I say… BITTERSWEET? Oh, how rude of me; this is no time for punning (but the movie is good))
Synopsis: A small-town waitress (Keri Russell) who hates her husband (Jeremy Sisto) gets pregnant and starts having an affair with her ob-gyn (Nathan Fillion). She also makes pies.

What The Good Girl would have been if Jennifer Aniston were Felicity, and it were actually enjoyable

I am a HUGE Keri Russell / Nathan Fillion fan and absolutely LOVED this film. I was interested in seeing it after I read about Adrienne being murdered in some magazine… then I read all about it on Wikipedia and watched the Law & Order episode based on it… so by the time I saw the film I was so caught up in the real life drama that when it ended, I couldn’t stop sobbing!! All I could think about was how it was such a beautiful, quirky film, and Adrienne died before finding out it got into Sundance. I just couldn’t stop crying. Life’s a bitch sometimes.
ps how crazy did the husband make you when he kept HONKING THAT MOTHERFECKING HORN!??!?!? What an ass. I wanted to punch his stupid head in, which I’m sure was the desired effect. Bravo.
